What’s Your Conflict Management Style?
Date: Saturday, March 3, 2018
Time: 10 am-12 pm
Surveys have shown that people spend approximately 25% of their time in the workplace trying to resolve conflict. Arguments with partners and spouses, disagreements with friends and family—life would be so much easier if we all wanted the same things!
Join Cornell ILR alumni executive coaches Sandie Bass, MILR, and Joan Freedman, Ph.D., for a two-hour workshop on how to better manage conflict in both personal and professional relationships. During the workshop, we'll explore five different conflict-handling styles. Learn how and when each style is most effective given any situation, and gain confidence in using new skills to settle issues in a timely, effective manner.
Prior to the workshop, you’ll have the option of completing a brief on-line assessment—The Thomas Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument—which will provide you with a personalized report of your preferred conflict-handling style, along with insights for recognizing the conflict-handling styles of others.
Purchase the Thomas Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument - $20.00
Must be purchased no later than February 23, 2018. A link to the assessment will be sent to you no later than February 25. In the case that we don't have at least 8 participants for the workshop, the assessment (and workshop!) will be canceled your payment will be refunded.
